Lillie Strain is a basket weaver who was raised along with her many siblings on a dairy farm on the south shore of Hay Bay. She is a nature lover who enjoys being outdoors working in her gardens and enjoys kayaking around the lake. After retiring from Sears she decided to try her hand at basket weaving. It only took one three hour class in 2017 to know she was hooked. Her baskets are all handmade mostly using reeds. Some baskets have driftwood handles while others might have rolling pins as handles and clothes pins for feet. No two baskets are ever alike.
